Pick 01 · Fix it
Tesla color-matched premium touch-up paint
Don't guess when it comes to paint. Measure twice, cut once; sand once, paint once. This is the easiest way to hide light-to-moderate curb rash without paying $200–$700 at a shop, because the paint is a perfect match.
Choose your model and wheel color on the listing.
How to fix curb rash
-
Match the exact wheel first
The color depends on your wheel, not just your car. Pick your model, then compare your wheel to the photos on the listing to find the right name and size.
-
Read the instructions, then sand
Read the instructions included with the paint first. Then, if the rash left raised burrs or rough spots, lightly sand with fine-grit sandpaper until it feels smooth.
-
Wash and dry the wheel
Use soap and water to clear away dirt and sanding dust, then dry it fully. Wipe the damaged spot with isopropyl alcohol so the paint sticks.
-
Tape off the tire
Put painter's tape on the tire sidewall and any clean areas around the damage.
-
Shake well
Shake the bottle for at least a minute. Metallic paint settles, and the color won't match if it isn't mixed.
-
Paint in thin coats
Dab on a thin layer and let it dry before adding the next. Several thin coats look far better than one thick one.
-
Let it cure
Remove the tape, then give the paint time to harden before washing. Skip pressure washers on that wheel for a while.
Work in the shade on a mild day. Always follow the instructions included with the paint.
